Short answer
A reliable front door automation should not depend on a camera alone. Use a door sensor or camera event as the trigger, add a light or notification action, keep lock automations conservative, and prefer a local camera/NVR path when privacy or latency matters.

Common limits
- Cloud camera events can be delayed
- Package or person detection may require subscription or vendor cloud

- Auto-unlock should require strong conditions
